I am excited to be joining the Father Bressani school
community this September. I cannot wait to meet the
staff and students, and have the chance to experience,
first hand, all of the wonderful things that I have seen and
heard about this community.
As an educator, I value lifelong learning and adhere to the philosophy that all children can learn given the appropriate supports and teaching strategies. Each fall, we have the opportunity to start the new academic year with fresh hope and the chance to reach new heights. Each student comes with their own expectations for success and I look forward to working with the administrative team, Ms. Abate and Mr. Lechman, as well as the teaching staff to help students meet and surpass those expectations. There will always be challenges along the way, but it is my belief that those challenges are put there to give us the chance to build character, to learn
and to grow.
My educational journey with the YCDSB started in 2000 at Father Michael McGivney Catholic High School where I worked as a Science teacher. In 2005, I became the Pioneer Department Head of Science at St. Jean de Brebeuf CHS, a place I called home for 6 years. In 2011, I made
the transition to Vice Principal and worked at St. Roberts CHS for one year. Over the next 7 years, I have been an administrator at St. Brother Andre CHS and St. Augustine CHS in Markham. My path has led me back to the West and I could not be happier.
As I start this new phase of my professional journey, I am excited about the possibilities that this school year will bring. Looking forward to meeting everyone in September… let’s have a fantastic year Eagles!
