Dear Parents and Guardians of the Graduates of 2020,
We are pleased to inform you that a virtual Graduation 2020 will be held on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at 7:00p.m. Due to COVID-19, our regular Graduation Ceremonies to celebrate the student achievements were not able to take place in person. In order to celebrate and to promote student achievement, Parent/Legal Guardians are going to be receiving a link to a video Graduation Ceremony on the date of graduation. This link will be provided to Parent/Legal Guardians as this is the information that we have available for each student. You are asked to share the video link with your child to access the virtual ceremony.
This video graduation ceremony, will highlight the graduating students at Father Bressani CHS:
- Student name and photo;
- School Awards received;
- Community Awards received;
- Any specialized programming
To protect the privacy of all students this video is intended and accessible only for the graduating student and their parent(s)/guardian(s). Do not share the video when you receive it on Thursday October 15th, 2020.
This video graduation ceremony is in accordance with Section 169.1 of the Education Act, “to promote student achievement and well-being” and the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
In addition, all graduating students will receive a Father Bressani Graduate bag which will include the following items: cap and gown, Class of 2020 composite, diploma, awards, certificates, and yearbook. Partial refund cheques will be mailed out to families. The graduate bag may be picked up from outside the school by the graduate. If the graduate is not able to pick up the items, an email must be sent to fbh@ycdsb.ca indicating who will be picking up the items. ID must be provided upon pick up. The graduate bag will be available for pick up during the following dates and times:
- Wednesday, October 14th 2:30pm to 5:00 pm
- Thursday, October 15th 2:30pm to 5:00 pm
