Fr. Bressani CHS receives 2023-2024 York Region Healthy Schools Designation.
 

A healthy school involves the entire school community, including administrators, teachers, families, students and community partners working together to build a healthy environment. A healthy school promotes the physical, mental, social and spiritual health of the whole school community. It is a healthy setting for living, learning, working and playing.

York Region Public Health Nurse, Samantha Yau provides support on a variety of health topics. Utilizing a comprehensive school health approach, Fr. Bressani CHS is committed to promote health and well-being receiving the highest accolade in the Healthy Schools Program.

#FBMINDSMATTER identified health issues that impact the school community and developed a comprehensive plan to address them.  The Mental Health Committee organized weekly meetings and announcements; monthly activities; and ongoing communication.  The highlights in semester I: the York Region Public Health ‘Clear the Clouds’ campaign, parent council supported tea room, Health Canada speakers, Vitanova Foundation guests, Mindful Movement pre-exam movement.
